Mercurial: multiple repos per project

Thanks for supporting Mercurial!

I’ve recently tried out your competitor, Kiln, and I really like their structure of Project > Group > Repository and you can have multiple repositories per group and multiple groups per project. It creates a nice tree structure, for example when I’m working on a client/server app, I can create a Client group and a Server group and then have repositories in each group for stable, test, and dev branches.

Will you be supporting this in the near future? One repository per project is terribly limiting. As you are no doubt aware, permanent branching in Mercurial is done by creating separate repositories, and anything not on the web is not backed up.

You can test the above behavior; Kiln is free to use. I would guess you have already played with it but if not go take a look to see what you should add to XP-Dev! :)

Ah, you do raise a good point on Mercurial. The workflow is pretty different and it slipped my mind that you do have separate repos for branches.

I’ll add multiple repositories as a high priority story.
