Relatively slow push speed with git

Sorry to bother you @rs, I see you have a lot of work here.
I just registered because I wanted to look for a paid and reliable hosting. Yeah, Bitbucket is there and I’m sure they would let people back up before they cut the free unlimited plan, but I’d rather not wait that. (It’s the same Atlassian story.)

So I had to upgrade for 6 bucks to get enough space, to properly check out speeds.
I know, why would anyone need speed when it comes to VCS. I have a fast connection, and sometimes I’m in a real hurry.
That’s when it’s a life-saver.

But for some reason, I’m stuck at 300kbps.
I tried a different host which wasn’t any faster, but I thought it’s a latency issue.

Any ideas? (It’s 6-7 am, I doubt there is any high load on the servers.)
My speed is 90/40mbps btw.

My CPU is also idle. I’m running Win7SP1, using SmartGitHg and the git that it says I should install (it’s the one that says "x days since the last version.)

I can see that you’re using SSH – that’s normally the fastest option. This likely is related to network peering and congestion. Do you mind doing a ‘tracert xp-dev.com’ ?
