Can't remove forums in Trac

Hi,

I am using Trac for issue management. Moved from XP-devs own since I needed more expressiveness in my project, e.g. backlogs, milestones, etc. I found it very useful. Until I added some forums and the wanted to use Forum Groups instead. I just can’t remove the Forums I created. It is impossible. Not as any user.

Gets this error message when I try to remove them,

detected an internal error: TypeError: ‘NoneType’ object has no attribute '\__getitem__'

Please guys, help me out.

Yes, my user is TRAC_ADMIN so I guess he should be able to do everything in our Trac instance.

You should just raise a ticket ? Please mention your Trac project URL as well

Sorry, you should be raising tickets here:

https://xp-dev.com/support

Trac can be fragile especially when you’re disabling/enabling plugins. Plugins can be buggy as hell. We host them, and try to debug them as much as possible, but we don’t write them and it can take a while to resolve problems with Trac.

We are not affiliated in anyway with Edgewall

Actually just post your Trac project URL here and summarise your issues

So, you’ve turned on a lot of plugins that basically duplicate each other’s function. I guess you were trying them out ? What you really should do is read the description of the plugin page and try each one in turn. There are plugins that are extremely intrusive (like Agilo) and these do not play nice at all with other plugins.

#1: Use https://xp-dev.com/trac/beta1kimono/discussion to delete forums – bug in the discussion plugin. Click on the forum and there’s a “Delete forum” button towards the bottom of the page

#2: You turned on Estimated Hours plugin previously ? Probably clashed with other plugins like Agilo. Sigh. Trac plugins are just a big ball of mud. I’ve had to disable Scrum Burndown, Child Tickets and Master Tickets as these are all provided by Agilo. You should do some research about what these plugins offer before enabling them.

#3: See #2 above

Backlogs for Agilo (this is not a Trac vanilla feature) is a bit like views: https://xp-dev.com/trac/beta1kimono/agilo-help/admin/BacklogAdmin
