Search Filters

Using xp-dev style project tracking instead of trac, I was trying to create a new search filter for bugs in certain states but it just simply doesn’t give back any result. I was changing target iterations, added-removed stories, changed bug state filters, practically every single, available searching criteria, but still had no results at all. When I was trying to save, nothing happened either.

I’m an admin on the project, and the project uses custom bug states (with special characters) and several dozens bugs and like a hundred stories and several iterations, so there are plenty of data to search in. Not sure if I’m doing it wrong or the functionality is currently broken. Please advise!

Functionality works. Do you have an example project and filter that I could look at please ?

Thanks for checking it. It seems it is a browser-dependent issue on our part. The functionality works as expected under IE, but it simply doesn’t do anything under Google Chrome (v.9.0.597.98) , not even saving the filter, despite that both AJAX and JS seem working on any other page both here and on other web sites...

EDIT: After clicking a bit more, unfortunatly, the functionality doesn’t work as expected either under IE if I’m trying to filter out bugs in custom states (defined under Project Settings).

According to the filter description, it seems there is an issue with the custom state (it’s added to the description, but doesn’t show up on the form as selected searching criteria). Like if it would add the line end character to the custom bug state name and then couldn’t resolve it during the search.

Could be a minor bug – let me have a look at it

This should be fixed

Not sure if your comment relates to Maksim’s post or the original subject, but seems filters still don’t work with custom states (try to use them on custom states having special characters, like “é” “á” “ű” in their names).

Thought I fixed this, but will have a second look.
