Advertising is one of the ways to get a new product/service noticed on the web. However, it can get expensive, depending on your current cash status (expensive is a relative term, afterall).

Once thing that I’ve experienced while starting up XP-Dev.com is that getting as much help as possible to get noticed can go a really long way. You build relationships and that can promote future growth.

So, after feeling the pain of it all, I’m offering to all startups, entrepreneurs and freelance software developers free advertising here on XP-Dev.com. What do I want in return ? Nothing at all! I’ve been in your position, done it all and even bought a hypothetical t-shirt (which does not fit me anymore). I feel your pain and want to take some of that pain away.

How to Qualify

To qualify for free advertising, you need to be a startup/entrepreneur which at most ramen profitable, or a software developer/graphic designer. You can only advertise products/services/websites that are (fairly) new. These products/services can even be in a private closed beta stage. I can refuse any requests at my discretion (but I’m a nice guy, promise!).

In other words, if you’re already commercially profitable, you don’t qualify.

BTW, you don’t need to have an XP-Dev.com account to qualify.

XP-Dev.com Demography

Your advertisements will be seen by other fellow budding entrepreneurs, software developers, startups, college/high school students and even commercial software houses.

Impressions

Your advertisements will get an estimated 5,000 impressions a day for a calendar month. This may be lower if the offer is over subscribed. At the end of the month, if there isn’t enough inventory, I will automatically extend your advertisement for another month. In any case, I will let you know via e-mail.

Advertising Media

Only 3 types of advertising media is supported:

• IAB square banner IMU 125x125 pixels (Preferred)
• IAB full banner IMU 468x60 pixels
• Text links

You can send in multiple advertising media, but they will collectively get the number of impressions mentioned above. For example, if you send in a square button and a full banner, they may each get 2,000 and 3,000 impressions respectively.

Submitting Your Advertisement

Send all your requests via email to ads@xp-dev.com. Please do try to send the following information:

• Your name
• Your startup name and a few sentences describing what is it that you’re doing
• Your product/service/website name and a few sentences describing what it does
• Your advertising media. For image banners do attach them to your email as separate files. For text links, just send what you’d like the link to say. For each media, do tell which target URL you’d like it to link to as well.

You should get a response to your request within 24 hours via email.

This is real FREE Advertising space for you, i.e. $0 a month with no strings attached!!!
