SVN Tags - $Id:$

I tried embedding some revision meta tags, specifically “$Id:$” in my docs, did a check-in and check-out and it didn’t work. I had thought that I had read that SVN (I’m very new to SVN) supports the old RCS tags.

Am I mistaken or do I just need to configure something?

Any help would be appreciated.

It should work, though you will need to set the property svn:keywords on the files you’re checking in:
