Problem Accessing Repository

Hi, I’m using a free account and have had two repositories that had always worked until (I believe) this site and everything was updated. Since then when I try to update I get a message:

Server sent unexpected return value (403 Forbidden) in response to OPTIONS request for ‘URL’.

Does anyone have any idea as to what I may be doing wrong?

Hello, I had the same problem. Im my case the problem was, that I used https to access the repository. It seems this was working before for free accounts. This is no longer supported. I use now http, and this works fine.

Ther steps to change the repository access is described in the following post http://www.xp-dev.com/forum/topic/906

Yeah, I’m not using https though, just http, thank you though. For some reason it still won’t work.

The issue can be down to a number of things, but in general it usually comes down to two:

  1. You have a proxy in between and the proxy does not like passing though OPTIONS — this can usually be solved by asking your network admin/operator if they would add xp-dev.com to the exception list (most already allow other services like Google Code)
  2. Username/passwords are incorrect — depending on which client you’re using, you might get slightly different behaviour. The only way to get this investigated and sorted out is by raising a support ticket: http://www.xp-dev.com/support

Alright, thank you. The weird thing is I have two others that were added later that do work, the only difference I can see is that the urls use svn2.xp.... as apposed to the ones that aren’t working which are svn.xp...

Then it might be no. 2 — just raise a support ticket with the repository names and I’ll sort you out
