Hi,
I know this thread is kind of old (only a few months) but it’s related to what I’m looking for. Is there a public API available for xp-dev.com and where can I find documentation for it? I’d like to have a form on my website for users to submit bugs/support tickets and, upon processing it, create a new bug/task in my xp-dev.com project. Is such an operation possible?
Thanks, Kyle
Hi there,
I have raised this same question before ( is there a xp-dev API?)
I would like to know how are things going with the API and where we can get information about it.
regards,
goliatone
The API is still being worked on. Will give a shout when its ready.
ok, thanks for the reply.
Sorry to re open such an old topic, and perhaps the info is already available somewhere else...but, do we have any news on the API?
I’m really interested in this, since I’m developing a desktop tool that could benefit from this integration and it would integrate xp-dev before some other provider at this point.
There is an initial version of our API at http://docs.xp-dev.com/api/ - its not feature complete as it is missing some of the project tracking artifacts.
A Netbeans-integration would be nice!
I would think that IDE integration might be something that the community will try first before we pursue it (once the API has been updated). It really depends on demand, as there are tons of IDEs out there, it will be a bit ambitious to target all of them.

There’s a new version of xp-dev.com (beta platform) launching towards the end of the month. It has an API. Do keep an eye out on the blog (RSS Feed ) as I will be announcing the alpha testing soon.
If you’re willing to be a little bleeding edge, you can give the API a try during the alpha testing stage.
