Hello,
I have a free repository in xp-dev and it was working perfectly until I installed linux on my computer. I have installed subversion but when I checkout my repository, I receive a 403 error. I have tried to browse to the repository by direct http:// input but still get the same message. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Please, help me, I’m a noob in linux.
Note: I use OpenSUSE 11.2, my repository is private and free.

Problem solved. Thaks!
Does not work for me. I am paying for the account, but cannot access my repository. It asks for log in and password, i have reset mine and use the new credentials. It says You don’t have permission to access /svn/myprojectname
???
@MaxBerk – you are logging in as maxberk - you need to login as MaxBerk
As mentioned above, logins to SVN are case sensitive, regardless of whether you’re on a paid or free account
Hope that helps
dear all, maybe you should add a little note (near the repository url) clarifying that also the user name is case sensitive, because this is completely unexpected!
Will do!
Hi,
I just create a free account, and I can’t checkout my new project. I’ve got a 403 error...
Password is fine and I follow the tutorial...
Can someone help me plase ?
Thanks.
@muddy – do you mind giving it another try ?
no problem for that. I can send you my login/password. you’ve got an email adress?
@muddy just give it another try. No need to give me the username/password.
Ok thanks. I just tried, and it works....
But I’ve got an error code 2 :
Could not open the requested SVN filesystem
Is there a documentation of all the errors ?
Thanks :)
Ok, I understood my mistake. Thanks for your help rs :)
I am using private paid svn and get this error, I know my username and pass needs to be case sensitive and it is. Please help.
@offerscript – I sent you a mail. Do you mind retrying please ?
Still getting the error
Import C:\Offerscript_3.0.0 to https://svn3.xp-dev.com/svn/Offerscript_3.0.0
access to 'https://svn3.xp-dev.com/svn/Offerscript_3.0.0' forbidden
does this site work with chrome or would another browser perhaps work better? but it does this with tortisesvn
You’re logging in as Offerscript please try with your username in lower case
ok i can import it now but can’t explore or access the source from the source panel when clicking on the url i am given the forbidden 403 error again
Do give it another try please. Its a bit of a tricky issue that I’m trying to chase after. I’ve done a few tweaks which should help things a little
@rs, having the same problem, logging in with Emads (case correct) and get the forbidden message when I go to https://svn3.xp-dev.com/svn/SCNDev/trunk
@Emads – I can see you’re logging in as emads - please ensure that the case is correct.
@rs, just tried again moments ago and it worked, I have access now. I could have sworn I was logging in with the correct case. Thanks.
Hi, I have the same problem.
I’m trying to log in as “Emotodrome” and checking out the project as
svn co http://svn.xp-dev.com/svn/emoto-repo emotodrome
After I type in the username and password, I get
"svn: Server sent unexpected return value (403 Forbidden) in response to OPTIONS request for 'http://svn.xp-dev.com/svn/emoto-repo'"
I’ve tried it with Emotodrome, emotodrome, etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
EDIT: nvm, works now. maybe it took a little while to register the new account? thanks!
@Emotodrome – can see you logging in as Emotodrome correctly, but server was rejecting it.. the only thing I can think off is the password perhaps was incorrect.
Hi, I have the same problem.
-- Server sent unexpected return value (403 Forbidden) in response to OPTIONS request for 'http://svn3.xp-dev.com/svn' --
I’m loggin as SistemaGestionCoperacion and I’m change the password to, to be sure.

pleace, help me, thanks !

If the above is the exact error that your client is giving, you’re not using the correct URL. Please use the URL from your project’s Source Control tab
was my fault, I had hidden files of previous repository (. svn). It’s embarrassing, but I write, maybe someone will have the same problem. Thank you very much.
Now it’s work !
HI rs, I paid for Pro Small yesterday and got 403 Forbidden today when accessing
http://xp-dev.com/svn/CreativePhotoVietNam/
My other project
http://xp-dev.com/svn/frameworld still working fine.
Please have a look and help me.
Many thanks.
@ngaycuoithang2 have replied to your mail
It works, many thanks, rs :)

Logins are case sensitive – please login with your username in the correct case - Razican instead of razican and it should be all good.
