Problems with New User Invitations

I’ve had a problem recently with the invitation process.

I’ve been inviting users to join my project, via their email address. They receive an email and click on the link, and while attempting to register, they receive an error page. Behind the scenes, it looks like an xp-dev.com account was created for them, and that they were given the correct access to SVN on that account.

In a new project I started, I’ve invited three people, and two of them reported the same error. The other may have also encountered the error, but just didn’t report to me.

I expect to be inviting more users in the future, and so would like to see this process be less confusing for the invited users.

Any suggestions? Is this browser related? or a server side problem?

Thanks,
Troy

The invitations do have a bug where it throws an error but they do work.

The litmus test to ensure it works as expected is for the user to check their project list and if the project is not listed there, something bad has happened. If the project is listed there, then it must be something to do with their SVN authentication (mostly case-sensitivity, or even proxies/firewalls/security).

In either case, they should raise a support ticket so that it can be investigated further.
